Hello everyone! So I tried my hand in raising brine shrimp, for maybe the third time in my life. The first two attempt was with store bought shrimp eggs, and a huge failure. This time thanks to Les I had great success. I started with 1L of filtered water, a 1/2 a tea spoon of salt, and a lot of air. I put the DIY pop bottle hatchery on top of my 40 gal. tank where it would be nice and warm also plenty of light. After 24 hours I had a lot of BBS! And here it lies a problem, the DIY hatchery was very unstable. Today while I was feeding the fish, I nudged the pop bottle and almost all the content poured into the tank. I’m not really worried about the actual shrimp, the fish were fed well, and the filter will clear the rest. The minimal salt is not worth the worry, so everything is good. However, I have to design a new hatching station. Also need to hatch more shrimps. Here is a picture how the 40 gal. tank looked with a few million BBS swimming in it!

Well at least you mastered hatching brine shrimp now you just need to master feeding the right amount lol 😎
Also better in the tank then on the floor .

Well there is still some “floaters” in the tank. I think they are either unhatched eggs or hatched egg shells. The filter will get them eventually!
