Sorry to hear this . I would think if it died that fast it probably had issues well before you bought it . Was this angel purchased at the recent auction you attended ? Keep a close eye on the other one and make sure itβs active and eating well . Good luck with the remaining angel .

Yes I bought them from Durham Auction, the other one looks okay but I have not seen it eat yet. I've tried blood worms, baby brine shrimp, flakes, pellets it will chase them then back off not sure what else to do.

Is it in your large community tank . If possible I would isolate this fish until you know for sure if anything is wrong with it . I would think it should be eating by now . Do lots of partial water changes .

It's in the 55 with 6 swords, 7 black skirt tetras and 2 plecos. I don't have anywhere to isolate it too .. the only thing I notice on the other one that passed was a red spot by its fin (she's the one on the right of the picture)

What really concerns me is that in the pictures their stomachs look really sunken. Not a good sign , could be worms or some sort of parasite. Is it just the picture distorting the image or is its stomach sunken?

I've always appreciated Angels. I love the all blacks, I had one as well, that lived forever (and ate a school of Rasboras, but that's another story)...
55GAL Tanks are perfect for such fish!
