Good evening everyone!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making our first swap meet a great success! We had over a hundred people attend our swap meet! The Windsor Aquarium Society’s swap meet was held on April 27 2019, we had 19 vendors at 14 tables, offering a lot of new, and used equipment for fresh and saltwater tanks, as well as, a great variety of freshwater fish and shrimp to the public to purchase. I would like to thank all the vendors, and the volunteers that made this event happen! From Shelby, and Joe manning the door, Les Sr., Les Jr., and Keith for setting up the hall, to Christina who did a lot of advertising for the swap meet! Can’t thank enough for Shelby for designing all the signs and flyers! Also all the people involved in the preparations, and brainstorming months before the event actually took place, as well as spreading the word to other clubs and to the general public! We were not sure what to expect and you guys made it a big success! Thank you all!
Of course we could not have done this without the vendors, so I would also like to thank everyone who opted to have a table! Especially the people who came from out of town to support our club! We had people from the Sarnia club, Sustainable Marine Canada from London, For The Reef, and even people from the US. Also the Windsor Cichlid and Catfish Group, as well as, thanks to all of the WAS members who opted to have a table at our swap meet! Thank you all!
Our next big event is our annual bus trip, which we still have a lot of seats available. If interested please pm me on the forum or email at windsoraquariumsociety@gmail.com to arrange payment. Seats are $25.00 a person. Let’s make this event a great success as well! Thank you everyone for your continued support of WAS!
Gabe President of the Windsor Aquarium Society

The swap meet was a huge success. It is something both new and interesting for Windsor and I think this will only get bigger as word of mouth spreads and more interest is drawn. Every vendor I asked was happy with how things turned out for them. I feel we did very well for out first time. When we send in our monthly club report to CAOAC they know how this went. I know CAOAC and many clubs have show interest in the swap. In the end I was very happy with how it went.
