Hi everyone, I am new to the group. My mom and I just got our memberships today at the meeting. I'm very excited to learn new things about fish. I have a 10g, 20g, 40g, 55g, and 80g. I have a variety of different fish. Parrot fish, bristlenose pleco, cichlids, Killi, corys, rope fish, archer, puffers, angel fish, glass fish, catfish, snails, and gouramis. I am also transitioning from plastic plants to real plants. I have noticed a big difference in all my fish since I've started switching to real plants. They are happier and more active. All my fish get along. Except 1 fish. Which I will probably bring to the next meeting to be auctioned. A rusty cichlid. He likes to pick on the other fish and I've since separated him. The pet store said he was supposed to be a peaceful fish but no he's not. That is why I am excited to be here. It seems our pet stores in Windsor are not very educated. It is not the first time I was given absolutely wrong information about fish. Anyways, looking forward to all the exciting fish related topics!!

Welcome! Rusties are wonderful fish and mild by Mbuna standards but they can still be aggressive towards other fish. Hope you have better luck with other rift lake species
