Nice freshwater! I miss keeping these fish, but they are brutal with plants.
You keeping these in a high pH environment? The reason I ask I can see shells and something similar to Texas Holey Rock. Sand looks like marine sand as well.

Yes that is holey rock with pool sand substrate, this tank was set up to be a grow out tank for cichlid fry but turned into a quarantine for angels. PH is 7.6 to 7.8 with 25% water changes every 3 or 4 days PH doesn't go up

Cool, just noticed that rock figured they are being kept in higher pH. Once they hit the pH range they enjoy, their colors will improve. Either way, awesome!
