Hello everyone. I am building a reef tank at home following the DIYm guides of professioanl in this field. I ahve found an interesting Spray Injector DIY. Has somebody already done this part of a reef tank?

So here is the picture you linked to... credit to reef workshop.com In the description it says holes drilled in for the 2”to1” slip reducer. Also there are 8x3/16 holes drilled into the 1/2” MPT PVC plug. I’m not sure I understand what are the holes in the 2”to1” slip cover is for. The air gets sucked in from the top 1” pipe through the 3/8 holes no? Crap no! The water is going through the 3/8” holes and air is sucked in from the holes in the slip cover!!! However there are no size for the holes on the slip cover. Also there are specific distances to follow for the sump as well. However I feel the longer the air is in contact with the water the more biofilm it would pull out. Therefore I would reduce the distance between the intake and the return to minimum. This is a great idea! I only built protein skimmer with venture pipe before, but this is so much simpler! Good luck, and keep us posted
