Was cleaning a tank last night and saw some developed super red fry in a cave with an adult, rinsed the cave out and pulled 3 fry. Then I notice some in with another male in a separate cave and rinsed out 4 more fry. Then I notice more in different cave all alone, pulled an additional 3 fry. - then I notice a fry here and a fry there... I missed a spawning and have been kicked out into the tank. Now I have to figure out a way to trap the remainder but thank goodness I didn't have any malawi fish in that tank. Glad to finally have the group producing.

Update, I have caught 5 more out of the main tank by continually dumping the caves. Unfortunately my pleco trap is failing to entice any of the babies, back to the drawing board I guess

So not sure if the baby plecos are just smarter than I am and devoured the first algae puck before I could get to them but round two yielded 11 more youngsters pulled. Replaced the puck and hopefully get more, counted at least 6 more and I’m sure there’s more hiding. Also noticed my pepper cories laid eggs on the glass... I guess I need to set up a tank for them as well.... geez I’m more of a Cichlid guy but I have to admit spawning catfish is fun!
