With the province slowly opening back up has there been any discussions regarding an outdoor meeting or maybe an outdoor swap? Just curious - thanks for everyone's hard work.

Nothing yet, but I believe we need to start looking at this. To me, this would be the return to normalcy.

We have to be close now. I know there's a "liability", but with the passports in place CAOAC should be giving us the green light? I'm pretty sure Oktoberfish from KWAS is going on in a couple weeks. That usually draws hundreds of people. We usually get around 30. That's before all this passport stuff.

Discussions are already proceeding in the background. Obviously Gabe will have more information when it becomes available. No liability with the Passports, those that are not vaccinated cannot attend. Problem solved.

Thank you all for your interest in reopening the club meetings. We are looking forward to in person meetings. There are a few things still need to be ironed out, but we are hopeful that we will be able to restart meetings again. One of the problems are kids will not be able to attend, therefore their parents will loose out on whatever the club is able to offer. Will inform you all via email when we are ready for in person meetings! Thank you all again!

We have been watching progress and are starting to reorganize and plan for meetings shortly. Please stay tuned to this space or on our Online Forum for more details and information as they happen. We are considering to restart fresh in January 2022 which also means Memberships are due at this time. See you soon!
This was put up on the Official WAS Website this morning.

I know the Durham society is having a "parking lot fish garage sale" this weekend. No idea how it will turn out but hopefully we can start meeting soon. Sounds like the BOD are working hard behind the scenes on it, fingers crossed 2022 has some fish events in Canada.

Yes, we are working to get things moving again. But watching events closely as always to determine the safest course of action. Updates will be posted here and on the Website.

The border to the US is now open to non-essential travel. Still need a negative PCR covid test to get back into Canada. I am booked to go to the OCA Extravaganza Nov 19-21, but hoping the Canadian government removes the negative test requirement to get back into Canada, or I will have to get the test done in the US and hope to get the result before returning to Canada. Anyone else here going to the Extravaganza ?

I'm sure the reboot will be a blast, haven't been to one since 2019 and I'm itching. Safe travels sir, I'm sure it will be different but lots of good fish to be had.

Hey all, I had a great time this weekend at the Ohio Cichlid Association Extravaganza 2021 See photos and discussion here: www.facebook.com/groups/ohiocichlid Attendance was down a bit, a real shortage of Canadians, there are usually 20 to 30, but this year only 6 Looking forward to going next year
