Hi all, Glad you are meeting in person again. I am currently renovating our main floor family room, so the 100 gallon had to move to another location for a few weeks. Has anyone here had to move a 5 foot aquarium (old tank, thick glass with no top braces) it is very heavy even though everything was taken out Here is a video of them in their temporary location: link

I personally only moved a 90 gal with a brace, however it has a very thick glass as it is also an old tank. I had to move it to a different room on the same level. I put plastic sliders under the corners of the stand and very slowly pushed over to the new location. I made sure to push on the stand and not the glass itself.

I used a furniture dolly to move the tank itself ... just rolled it down the hallway to the other room, however lifting the tank off the stand and placing it on the dolly was quite a challenge, but lifting it off the dolly, which is lower than the stand was even more of a challenge Here is a photo of the tank being setup in the alternate location with the dolly in the foreground
