Good evening everyone!
I can't believe how fast this month went by! It is already time for our December meeting, which will be held at Cramdon's Tap and Eatery, with a 10:00 am start on Dec.11 2022. As always, refreshments are available for purchase at the start of the meeting, and food is available at 11:00 am when the kitchen opens.
For those whom were not present at any of our previous December meeting, I would like to say that this meeting will be a great one! As usual we will have a great mini auction, however the main event will be our Christmas raffle. Unfortunately this year we do not have any sponsored raffle items as the local stores are still struggling from the Covid-19 losses. Supply chains are not great, and prices have gone up a lot from shipping to the goods themselves. This is why I would like to ask everyone to please donate to our auction and raffle so we will have a great meeting.
So far we received a couple of very generous donations. One from Les Turnbull Jr. a 75 gallon tank, and from Christina, a Fluval Spec and a Fluval Prizm 2.0, under water spot light. Thank you so much for both of them!!! Also the Windsor Aquarium Society has invested in a couple of orders. One from Aquarium Co-Op, and the other one from Ken's Fish foods. I will not list items, so to keep a bit of the mystery.
This event is open for members only, which means you have to have purchased a membership for 2022, or you are on your second free meeting. I know that some people have approached the executives last meeting about memberships, and have been instructed what to do. This will be honored.
Speaking about memberships, cards will be available for purchase for the 2023 season at the meeting. A reminder that we did not raise our membership rates for nine years, however when I put it up for a vote, we agreed that starting in 2023 the single membership will be raised to $25.00, and a family memberships will be raised to $30.00.
Also a reminder that we do not have a bowl show in December!!!
See you all on the 11th!!!
