Neither one of these tanks had drift in them. And after have the driftwood soak for a few weeks and cleaned and sanitized they were finally ready for the tanks. I get frustrated thou when the tank lighting does not show up properly in the photo's as it appears to the naked eye. And sometimes appears washed out in the pics. Still need to work on my tank photography skills. Either way what do you think ?

I think a great piece of driftwood is the single best thing to enhance an aquarium

I like all of the pieces of driftwood in the pictures, but my personal favorite is the one in the first picture. I agree that it makes a planted tank look better.

I'm a firm believer that a planted tank with driftwood can rival a reef. Nice pieces. Really like that first piece. Do you collect your pieces from Lake Erie? The more I read the forum threads the more I'm regretting offloading most of my gear, wood, etc. I need a trip to collect some of the remaining gear I have back east. The itch is returning. LOL

Thank you. I really like the first one too. Drift really can make a tank stunning. I have collected much of my own and i have process down pat for cleaning and sterilizing everything. Always hold to driftwood you never know when you will need it. I always have some pieces sitting around here.
