good links! We were at Pelee a couple of weeks ago and saw a giant goldfish in the marsh. Not cool.

Actually, if you collect native fish or plants, the above applies as well. You cannot put them back. They have been exposed to a different environment/pathogens and it's best to not bring those into the native environment. On a similar note, there's a program in place for fish rescue. www.caoac.ca/rescue.html

To bad you couldn't of try to catch it, i go fishing just for invasive in the small rivers example little river and turkey creek so on and so on i throw alk native fish back and kill invasive kill i mean let them dry up nothing brutal

Back in day, I remember catching Guppies in Little River by the Expressway.
A giant Goldfish used to lurk in Little River near the drainage culvert at Meadowbrook.
Sadly it's all to common not only here but in the Great Lakes as a whole.
GLIER (Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research) run by the U of W is doing some wonderful research in Invasive Species reduction and Capture.
But we have to remain responsible fishkeepers to help.

LOL no Lisa,but I still remember Ken and yourself scooping up that wonderful tank from Super Pet! Fatal Hesitation on my part.
Stalking requires time and effort, I have neither right now.
