Hi all! I was wondering if anyone used Methylene Blue to treat fungal infections? How long should I have it in the tank? My son dosed his tank with it, without reading the label ( just the instructions, not the warning! ). I realize that all the plants, and the bacteria are gone, I just hope to cure the fish at least, now that everything else is going to be dead.... My fault I should never assumed that he is going to do the hospital tank, like he saw me do it countless times..... .... Well he is 12 after all, and knows everything... LOL.... He called me at work that one of the sword tail have a cotton ball on it, I told him that it is a fungus and need to be treated, than he just took it upon himself to "help out" with it... Never mind that he not supposed to go into my fish cabinet, that they been told not to because it has fish medication, and test chemicals in it, , I guess a padlock is in order! Sorry about the whole ranting, however it is so frustrating.... I just hope someone can help me out with this, since I never use Methylene Blue for the fish, I keep it to treat fruit fly's with it! LOL I just read what I wrote, and it needs a bit more explanation! I also keep, and breed Poison Dart Frogs, the fly's are the food for those! Thanks for reading! Gabe

I'm hoping that someone with more experience comes along, but I think that it just works it's way out with regular water changes. I've normally used it as a bath but on the one occasion I used it in a quarantine tank I changed out the water about 25% twice a week.
