I'm looking for suggestions for my 90g tank. It will be an unplanted tank with a white sandy substrate. It will house the following fish transferred from my 75g planted tank: - Koi angelfish - Clown loaches - Bolivian rams
Ideally I'm looking for a few, large tankmates with "wow" factor that will get along with what I have. Also perhaps some interesting synodontis cats.
Preferably fish will be available in the windsor/essex/detroit area. Let me know guys, and thanks.

How about some discus? They have a huge wow factor, as well it would be easier to keep them in a non-planted/non- co2 environment. If you get larger ones, they will go well with those other fish and in 90 gallon they should thrive. As well, a black knife ghost fish is an incredible fish and peaceful.

Saw a 90 gallon Rainbow tank once in the states. Had about 25 or 30 adults bows, incredible.....

Black knife ghost. That's a very interesting thought.....
My discus are a bit small but perhaps I will move them with the angels and keep my 75g planted tank as almost exclusively a rainbowfish tank.
What about a red parrot? Any other large cichlid that could work? I'm not suggesting I throw everything together, just looking at options.

Cichlids are endless in terms of possibly, you just have to be careful in selecting them and their tank mates. I've always enjoyed Severums and have found them to be actually quite docile. You will find differing opinions on the Red Parrot- some people find them acceptable, but others believe they are an abomination/unethical to aquarium hobby as they are a man made fish with several short comings/deformities (ex: their mouths).

Thanks for your suggestions Admin.
I just did a bit of reading and perhaps I'll stay away from blood parrots. Not because of the hybridization but because if the use of dyes and other strange stuff that goes on in that sector.
Severums look worth a second look.
