So I never buy my own tank stand. Always have them made or make them myself. Today I built a tough as nails 10 gallon tank stand with second shelf to hold a 2.5 gallon tank. This stand is ment to be functional more than pleasing to eye. Stand is built out of 2x4's and half inch plywood. I have just built it and sanded down the rough edges preparing the stand for paint. I will putting on 2 coats over the next few days as time permits. Pics I post now are how it looks before paint. Cost of the project is as follows : 3 boards of 8 foot 2x4 lumber $7.80 Small plywood pieces I had. Free Screws $1.97 Paint $7.47 Total Project Cost =$17.24 Will post pics after paint soon. It'll hold a ten gallon for sure, probably even if you were sitting on it holding the ten gallon on your lap

Well stand update. It painted now and will be setting up tanks on it on Saturday. I think it turned out pretty good for a cheap strong stand. Its good to be handy. Attachments:

Yes it is a tremclad color. One of the only ones you can use on wood. On the can it just says Flat. i thought it was black when I bought it. But it ended up being a bronze grey color. lol. I like it though.

If it's the Anodized bronze, then my civic is the same colour But I think yours may be the "oil rubbed bronze" it's darker So Yes, I like it too
