no problem. After the forum advice and more research I realized they were the guilty pair that ate all our shrimp. So upset, no shrimp left in the tank.

Jonathan - thanks for your offer though. Everyone here is so nice. That's refreshing to see in an online community as I'm sure you are all aware. There's so much "lynch mob" mentality online because of the anonymity the virtual world provides to keyboard trolls.

Not a problem at all Ms.Walker. I'd be more than happy to help out with the tank in any capacity. If you need anything and I can help I'd be more than happy to. I'm close and at the school pretty much on a daily basis.

Regular water changes happening. But we lost 2 fish. One last week, one this week. Seems like this happens at the start of each year as the tank gets established?

That does sound indicative of a cycling tank. It does often take a month or two for things to stabilize

Haven't lost any other fish. Didn't do a water change as usual today because our Remembrance Day assembly knocked things out of whack. But I'll make sure we do one next week.

Students spontaneously swarm the tank when new fish arrive to see what's in the box. It's like Christmas when Santa Les drops off a package....

Hello Everyone - We have lost a total of 3 fish as of today. Sadly we lost the two angel fish and one of the others (forget the name). Please give us some advice. We did a water change today.

Are you able to check the water parameters with a test kit? something could be off. if you do not have a freshwater test kit I have one here I'd be more than happy to lend or assist in testing the water.

Hi Johnathan, no I don't have a test kit. It would be great if you could come in, maybe on a nutrition break, and show a small group of kids what to do, and check out the tank overall. Let me know when yo are available. It would be good if you could make sure we have our auto feeder set up right for the xmas break if you are able to come next week.
