There are 5 blue Daisy's rice fish in there that I got from Gabe at one of our auctions a few months ago. I threw away most of the plants i was storing in it and kept a few for planting. I added tropica aquarium soil powder as substrate. These little fish were over bare bottom a long time. And under a pile of plants. Just a few minutes after adding soil and planting some plants. Those fish colored up. They like it already. Light is a t5ho. Too strong . Need to raise it up a little.

It's just a start. I just planted it a half hour ago. I'm gonna try to breed these little fellas. I find them fascinating. I have lots of room for grow out in other tanks if they end up going for me.

Nice little tank, Nano Tanks require a special kind of care and find them most rewarding!
Obviously you are planning to continue to Aquascape the tank into a little green jewel right?

Gary Really I just wanted them to feel safe and this way I can see them. I throwing away so many plants now after swap got cancelled.

The siblings of those rice fish are having fry of their own. I’m not pulling any now, and maybe a couple survivors if that. Mind you there are no plans they could hide in. They are also in a 5 gallon unheated tank, and they are fed a very high protein food.
Good luck with your project, looking great so far!

I haven't seen anything in there yet. I rarely sit and watch them down there. But when I do, the more I love their coloring. To me they are just like tiny rainbow fish. Alot like the little blue eyes.

The fry are usually on the surface in between plants. They are very tiny. Usually just notice the blue eyes!
