For sure we will do a water change and test the feeder. We could use Thursday as a test run. Should we also throw in one of those compressed food bricks before we leave?

Dropped off the auto feeder today and decided not to bring Black Worms until after the break. If the auto feeder works out there will really be no need to put the brick in. Today I received some very touching letters from the students showing their appreciation for all the fish and equipment that we have supplied. I will share those on this thread.

We had a great visit with Les today! It was like meeting our mysterious fish-Santa. The kiddos have really been wanting to thank him and so they wrote the letters, but it was even better that they were able to thank him in person. They were a little loopy because of the holiday but some were really hooked on his stories about his own tanks and how he became interested in fish. Hey, they were listening pretty intently. That's no easy feat with a bunch of hyper-for-the-holidays youngin's hopped up on Christmas candy. Maybe he should come and do a "fish lesson" for science some day?

Here are a couple of the "Fish Facts" cards the Aqua Techs have made so far for the bulletin board.

I wish I could see this tank myself. Great Job Les. You did well today and represent the society perfectly. I am glad the kids were able to talk to you first hand. There is so much fish knowledge between all the member of the society we could write a book. lol I hope Les was able to teach a little today. Now a fish lesson for science day what a idea.

Actually, Les did not only talk about his own love for the hobby, but he spoke VERY HIGHLY of the group in general and mentioned what great people a few of you are specifically.

As you can tell by the previous posts I had the pleasure of meeting the students in Ms Walkers grade 7/8 class. They are all so appreciative of the fish and plants we have donated and were full of questions about the fish, my tanks and the club in general. The tank looks wonderful as they have done a great job of feeding and maintaining the tank. Even though our club is young this project is one of the highlights for me. Just seeing those students today made my day.......
