I use one of the back Chambers as a refugium. Your set up sounds pretty awesome. Im using underwater light in my refugium. I replaced my hood with t5's. I've never tried chemi pure but I also use purigen. Picked up a Mandarin Goby yesterday and bought a bottle of pods to put in the back. He's beautiful. Do you have any pics?? Attachments:

That is one full little set up! Very nice - even that feather duster, though I don't know where it came from.

Thank you Yes I know what you mean I am battling hair algae right now. Flow should help with certain things but algae can have soo many causes. Adding flow never usually hurts

For hair algae, I recommend considering: - gfo reactor - new bulbs, less time on during the day - less feeding - frequent water changes - frequent skimmer cup cleaning - adding a tang (probably not good for a nano) or an emerald crab or two - type of water (better for RODI than conditioned tap)
Good luck!

Iam running a new IT2040 Programmable Aquarium Light I have a small one spot fox face a big mexican turbo snail and some normal ones but your prob right on the light time. I only feed once in day once at night is tgat to much. And inthink my light in on 9 hours a day but moonlight is always on. Also i have a intank media backet with kemi pure elite and puregen with filter floss shouldent that work as good as a gfo reactor or no?

Could be the lights - when I first started, I was going on vacation and didn't have a timer for the lights - so I just left 2 blue T5's on for a week....had some wicked red slimer algae (or is that a bacteria?) that took forever to clear out.
There are lots of possible culprits - it sounds like you are on the right track.
OH! And I used to use tap water with conditioner - cause a lot more issues than RODI water does now. I should ad that to the list above.
