Just change your plans . I know a lot of exotic pleco's who would love warm water with lots of flow ... Hint ....Zebra Pleco's L046 ....

Well, it has been a while since I posted in this thread! Mostly because I have not done anything to the tank! Today all that has changed. I stocked the tank with 5 garra flavatra two Sewellia lineolata six gastromyzon scitulus, three gastromyzon viriosus I also found out that the 1200 gph power head warmed up the water! So I went back to a 600 gph and a 400 gph power heads. These keep the water temp at a steady 77 degrees. This is still a bit warm, but in a couple months the heat will be off in the fish room, so the temp should drop to around 69 to 72 degrees. Estimated from my 75 gal goldfish tank which also is not heated! Also I added an air Venturi to one of the power heads to increase oxygenation by pumping air in the water and by water surface movement!

Looking sharp! How are the critters reacting to their new environment? Behaving any differently?

Looking sharp! How are the critters reacting to their new environment? Behaving any differently? Well the loaches are mostly hiding for now! The male reticulated is the most outgoing of them! It set up a territory in the middle of the tank, and furiously defending it against any ‘intruders’. The garras love the air bubbles, so far they keep playing in them!

Saw Gabe’s River tank the other day and I must say it’s one of the nicest tanks I have ever seen . You could literally spend hours upon hours sitting in front of it . The fish are out in the water flow and seem to be just loving it . Great job Gabe

Here is a picture from today! I’ll be cleaning the tank tomorrow, so I’ll take a better picture. If I was any closer the camera focused on the algae on the glass!
