Well for the sixth year the Windsor Aquarium Society has the pleasure to sponsor Ms Walker’s classroom tank . It will be interesting to see which student or students will catch the aquarium “ bug” and take an interest in this wonderful hobby . Tank is now up and running and live plants will be added later this week with fish in the weeks to folllow .

Could you tie a piece of Anubias to the mopany wood ? It along with a piece I have would be a good start . As for fish and shrimp , that will come later but I like your suggestions.

Would you like the nana or something larger?

6 years is incredible and time has gone by so fast it seems. And nothing is better than having a tank in the class room to both educate and inspire.

It is an incredible honour to have had your sponsorship for so long. I feel as if there should be something I could do for YOU, but I am not sure what. Can you think of anything? If you do, let me know. The students ask me daily when they'll get fish. This is a great lesson in patience. Seems like a good group of kids this year, and only 26 instead of 37 so the fish won't go deaf over the course of the year, lol.

Ms Walker you do so much for your class already , there is no need to do anything for us . It’s a pleasure to help out .
I dropped off two plants on driftwood on Friday . Fish will be coming soon . As you said patience is a great lesson to learn.

Thank you. Friday was a PD Day and there were no students so I put the tank stuff in myself. I'm going to turn the light on before the students arrive and see if anyone notices. They'll notice. They are always looking over there longing for fish. =)

Hmmmm. I might not tell them "soon". "Soon" to them means five minutes. "Are they here, Miss? Are the fish coming? When will they be here?" I've been telling them that the tank is cycling and explained what that means, and that the longer we wait, the more beneficial bacteria will populate the tank and keep our fish healthy when they do come.

Today I dropped off 6 Black Neon Tetras and 7 Albino Tiger Barbs . I’m sure the students are excited to finally get some fish in their tank.
